Two B.C Peace cowboys win at Grande Prairie Stompede

B.C Peace cowboys, Clayton Moore of Pouce Coupe and Chase Siemens of Chetwynd are taking money home after Grande Prairie Stompede.

Moore takes home $2,256 with the third-best time of the weekend in Steer Wrestling with a time of 3.9 seconds.

Siemens won first in Novice Bareback with 79 points, and takes home $434.56.

Winners of events are as follows:

• Bareback Riding – Cole Goodine of Carbon, AB, 89.5 points on Duffy Rodeo’s 213 Blue Bananas, $2,632
• Steer Wrestling – Dalton Massey of Hermiston, ON, 3.5 seconds, $3,248.64
• Team Roping – (tie) Kolton Schmidt of Barrhead, AB/Landen Glenn of Mealester, OK and Tee McLeod of Waldeck, SK/Sid Sporer of Cody, WY, 4.7 seconds, $2,594.40 each
• Saddle Bronc Riding – Lucas Macza of High River, AB, 88.5 points on Duffy Rodeo’s 420 Bay Moon, $3,316.32
• Tie Down Roping – Beau Cooper of Stettler, AB, 8.3 seconds, $3,180.96
• Ladies Barrel Racing – Bradi Whiteside of Longview, AB, 15.14 seconds, $3,877.50
• Bull Riding – Edgar Durazo of Moctezuma, Sonora, Mexico, 89 points on Vold Rodeo’s 846 Wild Time, 89 points, $3,362.80
• Breakaway Roping – Kylie Whiteside of Longview, AB, 2.2 seconds, $1,861.20
