Fort St. John investigating suspicious occurrence involving young girl

Police in Fort St. John are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved with a a suspicious occurrence involving a young girl.

On Thursday, June 6, Fort St. John RCMP were called to a convenience store on 93 Street after learning an unidentified man had approached the girl around 7:25 p.m., asked where she lived, and asked if she wanted to see the puppies inside his car.

The girl had no further interactions with the man and there were no reported injuries.

Police were able to obtain a photo of the suspect and describe him as a male, possibly of southeast asian descent, five feet seven inches, approximately 165 pounds, wearing sunglasses and all black clothing and driving a blue sedan.
