Beaverlodge woman wins $100k in the lottery

Leona Roberts of Beaverlodge is rejoicing after winning big after adding the EXTRA to her WESTERN MAX ticket.

Roberts won $100,000 thanks to the EXTRA in the May 21 draw.

“I gave all my tickets to my husband to check on the Lotto Spot app. He called me over to show me the win,”

She added in a release she was still in shock from the windfall.

“I am very happy and surprised. I called my mom and my daughter – they’re thrilled!”

The Beaverlodge local says she wants to use the winnings to buy a new truck and put the rest away for extra savings.

“COVID was hard on all of us, so it’ll be nice to have a cushion in the bank!”

Roberts purchased her ticket from the Circle K in Beaverlodge and won her prize by matching the last six digits: 4999101, in the EXTRA draw on May 21.
