Grants available through new UFA foundation

The UFA Agricultural Community Foundation says there is $100,000 available in its rural communities grant program this year.

Non-profit groups located in communities within 200 kilometres of a UFA location in all four western provinces can apply for a minimum of $10,000.

UFA says in a release that this is meant to support cultural recreational or educational programs and facilities.

In the past five years, UFA gave a total of $500,000 to 20 projects under a similar grant program through its Rural Communities Foundation.
