Vigen leads aggregate after Day 1 at Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede
The World Professional Chuckwagon Racing Association resumed Thursday night after a weekend off at the Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede.
Defending track champion from 2023, Jamie Laboucane came into the races hot, but it was reigning world champion, Chanse Vigen that opened the show with the top time of 1:00.59.
Vigen, a former Grande Prairie resident, placed first overall for the day just four one-hundredths of a second over former Medicine Hat Champion Jason Glass.
The top four after Day 1 are; Chanse Vigen, Jason Glass, Rae Croteau Jr., and Layne MacGillivary. Defending champion Jamie Laboucane sits just outside the top four in fifth.
