UPDATE: Severe thunderstorm watch ended for Peace-River-Fairview-High Prairie-Manning

UPDATE: The severe thunderstorm watches for the Peace-River-High Prairie-Manning and Slave Lake forecast areas have ended.

The Bonnyville and Lloydminster areas still have watches in place.

There is a severe thunderstorm watch and special weather statement out for the north part of the B.C. Peace River forecast area. The weather office says there could be as much as 50 millimetres in some places.

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Peace River-Fairview-High Prairie-Manning forecast area.

The watch says storms with heavy rain and nickel-size hail are possible into Sunday evening. High wind gusts are also possible.

A similar watch is out for the Slave Lake forecast area.

There are also thunderstorm watches in place for areas from Wabasca and Cadotte Lake south to Cochrane, Sundre and Olds.

The forecast for the Grande Prairie-Beaverlodge-Valleyview area says there is a chance of showers and a risk of a thunderstorm Sunday night.
