Vigen wins in Medicine Hat

Grande Prairie product Chanse Vigen., along with outriders Ethan Motowylow and Rory Armstrong, captured the championship at the World Professional Chuckwagon Association stop in Medicine Hat Sunday afternoon.

Vigen recorded a penalty-free time of 1:02.61 coming off of Barrel 2.

Vigen finished 1.93 seconds ahead of Kirk Sutherland in the final. Rae Croteau Jr. had crossed the finish line in second place but was given three seconds in outrider penalities.

Ross Knight, Evan Salmond, Jason Glass and Cody Ridsdale had the four fastest times on Sunday.

The next stop for the WPCA circuit will be the Ponoka Stampede. It will run from June 26 to July 1.
