Town of Peace River ratifies agreement with workforce union

The Town of Peace River has reached an agreement with CUPE Local 898, the union representing the Town’s workforce.
Effective January 1, 2023, to December 2026, the four-year agreement will enhance public services and enable predictable salary and benefit costs for multi-year budgeting purposes.
The contract includes wage increases of 2.4 per cent in 2023, 2 per cent in 2024, 1.75 in 2025, and 2.6 in 2026.
Peace River CAO Barbara Miller is offering kudos to the bargaining team for ensuring a fair agreement to employees and ratepayers.
