City of Grande Prairie begins 2024 Sidewalk Rehabilitation

Jul 2, 2024 | 8:00 AM

The 2024 edition of the City of Grande Prairie’s annual Sidewalk Rehabilitation Program gets underway today. (Tuesday, July 2)

This year’s focus is “upgrading sidewalks to meet modern standards, specifically targeting small residential streets.”

That includes replacing outdated or installing new sidewalks, curbs, and gutters, along with asphalt patching, landscaping, and minor driveway repairs.

The City asks residents to “remain vigilant around construction zones” and follow all posted traffic signs throughout the project.

In the release, Mayor Jackie Clayton said “These improvements will not only enhance pedestrian mobility but also create safer routes for residents while promoting active transportation options.”
