Heat warnings back in place

Jul 14, 2024 | 5:50 PM

Environment Canada has again issued heat warnings for the Grande Prairie-Beaverlodge-Valleyview and Peace River-Fairview-High Prairie-Manning forecast areas.

The weather office says the forecast high for Monday is 30 with highs from 29 to 35 expected into next weekend.

People are being asked to consider rescheduling outside activities to cooler times of the day, to take breaks inside if possible, to drink water and not leave people or pets in vehicles.

People should also watch for signs of heat exhaustion, including an elevated body temperature, confusion, fainting and a lack of sweat.
