BC Peace cowboy wins at Teepee Creek Stampede; Alberta, Saskatchewan competitors win most events

Unofficial results from the Teepee Creek Rodeo show Hudson’s Hope cowboy Jake Watson took first in saddle bronc riding.

Watson spurred out an 86.5 point ride during Sunday’s final performance.

A 16.56 second time from the rodeo slack Friday morning gave Lynette Brodoway of Brooks the barrel racing title.

Other event winners include:

  • Tie-down Roping – Logan Bird of Nanton, Alberta.
  • Team Roping – Trey Gallais of Sundre, Alberta and Joey Romo II from Nanton, Alberta.
  • Breakaway Roping – Mikenna Schauer from Halkirk, Alberta and Carla Popescul from Glentwoth, Saskatchewan. They each had a time of 2.5 seconds.
  • Bareback Riding – Blake Link from Maple Creek, Saskatchewan.
  • Bull Riding – Dakota Buttar of Eatonia, Saskatchewan.
  • Steer Wrestling – Jace Bliel of Maricopa, Arizona.
  • Junior Steer Riding – Sloan Walker from Carstairs, Alberta.
  • Novice Saddle Bronc Riding – Lonnie Dunn of Big River, Saskatchewan

There were no qualified rides in the novice bareback riding.
