City of Grande Prairie temporarily returns 132 Avenue to two lane traffic, paving operations planned

Jul 17, 2024 | 3:33 PM

The City of Grande Prairie says 132 Avenue has returned to two lanes of traffic but warns further disruptions can be expected.

The stretch of Highway 670 between 97B Street and 99 Street had been down to single lane alternating traffic since July 11, following an incident where a CN contractor damaged an Aquatera water main during their work.

The city says the road will temporarily switch back to single lane periodically while paving work is being conducted. A date for when that paving will be done was not given.

The road is currently open only for passenger vehicles, Semis will be diverted to Highway 43.
