Busy weekend for minor baseball provincials coming up at Evergreen Park

Four Grande Prairie Minor Baseball Reds teams will be hosting three sets of Tier 5 provincials this weekend at Evergreen Park.

There are five teams playing in the 11U AA provincials. The Reds play the South Jasper Place Jays in the first game at 9 a.m. Friday. The Reds also have games at 6 p.m. Friday, 3 p.m. Saturday and noon on Sunday.

Six teams will be at the 13U AA provincials. The first game is at 3 p.m. Friday between Lacombe and Airdrie.

The Reds Team Aldred plays the Southwest Edmonton White Sox right after the opening ceremony, which starts at 6 p.m. Friday. Team Aldred plays the Parkland Twins Saturday at 6 p.m.

The Reds Team Wray plays Lacombe Saturday at 9 a.m. and Airdrie Saturday at 3 p.m.

There are six teams, including the Reds Team Sinclair, taking part in the 15U provincials.

Barrhead and Wainwright meet in the first 15U game Saturday at 3 p.m.

The Reds play both their pool round games on Saturday. They take on Barrhead at 9 a.m. and Wainwright at 3 p.m.

The 11U final is set for 3 p.m. Sunday, with the other two finals at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
