Fairview Health Complex emergency department to be closed multiple times between July 29 and August 7

The Fairview Health Complex emergency department will be without an on-site physician for an expected total of eight, non-consecutive days over the next two weeks.

Due to an inability to secure physician coverage, there will be no on-site physician from 7:00 a.m.Monday July 29 to 7:00 a.m. Thursday, August 1 and then from 7:00 a.m. Saturday August 3 to 7:00 a.m. Wednesday August 7.

If patients call 911 with a medical emergency, EMS remains available to transport them to surrounding health care facilities.

AHS says if more coverage is found these disruptions may be cancelled.
