Nine Peace Region competitors at high school rodeo

Nine competitors from the Peace Country will be part of Team Alberta at the Canadian High School Finals Rodeo.

The event will take place in Brandon, Manitoba July 31- August 3, with the first rodeo competition on Thursday, August 1.

The group includes the following:

Kenzie Reber – Valleyview – High School Barrel Racing
Brettley Gordon – Valleyview – High School Reining Cow Horse
Brooke Belanger – DeBolt – High School Cutting
Hayes Smith – Silver Valley – Junior High Goat Tying and Junior High Tie Down Roping
Jayden Payne – Spirit River – Junior High Bull Riding and Junior High Tie Down Roping
Sawyer Frazer – Hythe – Junior High Barrel Racing
Tenley Matheson of Sexsmith – Junior High Pole Bending
Tanner Massier – Peace River – Junior High Chute Dogging
