Evacuation Order given by Saddle Hills County

Saddle Hills County has issued an evacuation order due to wildfire.

All those located south of Range Road 790, east of Range Road 103 and west of Range Road 111 for 10 km south are required to evacuate immediately.

Wildfire GWF078 is burning in the Gordondale area south of Highway 49, it is considered Out of Control at 120 ha.

Residents are advised to take important documentation, medications and medical equipment, as well as any necessary items they might need for up to 72 hours.

An emergency centre has ben set up at Gordondale Hall.

Meanwhile, Evacuation Alerts have been issued for residents in the Gundy Area, due to wildfire GWF077, burning 2 km north and estimated at 1 ha.

Those living in the Gundy Area as well as south of Highway 49, west to Range Road 102 and east to Range Road 111 should be prepared to leave at a moment’s notice.
