68 Avenue construction to last til mid-September

More construction activities are to start this week along 68th Avenue in Grande Prairie.

The affected locations along 68 Ave are:

• Between Poplar Drive and Resources Road
• Between 86 Street and the City Limit
• Between 100 Street and Poplar Drive

Projects taking place include road milling, new pavement, spot replacing concrete curb and sidewalks, and minor repairs to storm sewers, new road line markings and crosswalk lines, as well as landscaping.

Motorists should anticipate alternating single-lane traffic, and short-term closures may happen, but local traffic will be maintained. Sidewalk and pathway access will remain open the entire time.
