Rail crossing work to cause delays for city drivers

Aug 13, 2024 | 6:00 AM

Some crossing work by CN Rail will be causing some delays in Grande Prairie on Wednesday, August 14.

The 132 Avenue CN Rail crossing will be seeing some “essential infrastructure upgrades,” as crews improve the rail signal.

This project is expected to only last one day, weather-depending, but the number of lanes will be reduced during construction.

The City of Grande Prairie said in a release that “traffic will be maintained in both directions” while work is underway “to minimize disruptions.”
