Aug 19, 2024 | 7:10 AM

No chuckwagon racing was held on Sunday night down in Rocky Mountain House due to inclement weather.

Races for the finals of the Battle of the Rockies will be Monday evening at 7 p.m.

Tickets for Sunday’s postponed event will be honoured.

Grande Prairie product Chanse Vigen is atop the aggregate standings and looks to defend his Battle of the Rockies title he won in 2023.

Vigen has the best three-day run time of 4:03.35. The top four is rounded out by Wade Salmond, Luke Tournier, and Chance Thompson.

The driver posting the best 4-day aggregate time after Monday’s run will take home the 2024 Battle of the Rockies Championship, and the top twelve in the World Standings after the completion of the Battle of the Rockies will make the Century Downs Winner’s Zone Playoff Round.

The final racing stint of the season will conclude in Ponoka from August 28 to September 1 at the WPCA World Chuckwagon Finals, where the winner will be crowned the World Champion.

Vigen also looks to defends his 2023 World Champion title down in Ponoka.
