Vigen wins Battle of the Rockies for second consecutive year
Grande Prairie product Chanse Vigen is on a hot streak heading into the final racing weekend of the chuckwagon season at the end of the month in Ponoka.
Vigen has pulled off winning the Rocky Mountain House Battle of the North for two consecutive years now, and sits in the top spot in the World Standings for the WPCA World Chuckwagon Finals.
Outriders Rory Armstrong and Ethan Motowylo also emerged as champions alongside Vigen. The outfit posted the best four-day aggregate time of 5:20.64.
This was the fourth win of the season for the defending World Champion; he has now won the Battle of the Rockies, Medicine Hat Stampede, the Battle of the Foothills, and the Strathmore Stampede crowns in 2024 alone.
