Grand opening for the Veterans Association Food Bank set for end of August

The Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, August 30, to officially open the Veterans Association Food Bank Grande Prairie.
The new Veteran’s Association Food Bank will operate out of Unit 102, 10920 on 84 Avenue.
A grand opening will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on August 30, and will feature a community barbecue, giveaways and door prizes, with the ribbon-cutting ceremony set to start at 3:30 p.m.
The chamber says there is no cost to attend the event, however, residents are asked to pre-register, so they can figure out catering and capacity numbers ahead of time.
