Vancouver Canucks change up goalie coaching staff
VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Canucks are switching up their goaltending staff, promoting one coach and moving another to a scouting role.
The club announced Wednesday that goalie coach and director of goaltending Ian Clark will work as a goalie scout and development coach after requesting a new role with the team.
Marko Torenius has been promoted from goalie coach of the American Hockey League’s Abbotsford Canucks to the same role with the NHL team.
General manager Patrik Allvin says in a release that Clark “can no longer go on the ice regularly to do the things that have made him successful.”
