GP RCMP stress importance of safe ATV practices

Mounties in Grande Prairie want everyone to enjoy the Labour Day long weekend safely while using all-terrain vehicles.

A short list of simple tips to do so have been given by police:

Always wear a helmet and drive to your abilities
Youths must always be monitored by responsible adults while operating these machines
Do not risk your personal safety or the safety of others by using drugs or alcohol while riding
Follow all regulations that pertain to off-highway vehicles and rules of the road

The RCMP wants everyone to do their part in keeping the long weekend, and all other times of year, safe for all involved.
