RCMP on scene of plane crash at Peace River airport

RCMP say they have been called out after an airplane crash at the Peace River airport.

Mounties say they believe that there were two people on board what they describe as a smaller plane.

It went down at around 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, September 3.

There is no word at this time on injuries or why the plane crashed.

Police say Transport Canada has been notified.

People are being asked to avoid the area.
