Northwestern Polytechnic is developing new mental health programs thanks to a provincial grant.
The province’s Mental Health Professional Enrollment Expansion Grant will give NWP nearly $1 million over three years to support the development of the Psychiatric Nurse Diploma and the Social Work Diploma, as well as the Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Social Work.
The diplomas are tentatively set to launch in the 2025/2026 academic years, while the bachelors will launch in the 2026/2027 year.
NWP says that as the future programming enters the development phase, options for those eager to get started are available through NWP’s academic advisors.
