Emergency department in Beaverlodge to be without a physician Friday

Alberta Health Services says there will not be a doctor in the emergency department at the Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, September 13.

People with medical emergencies can still call 911 as EMS can still take patients to other facilities.

Nurses will be available to provide triage, assessments and referrals.

AHS is reminding people they can also call Health Link at 811 for non-emergencies.

It is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
