Provincial government looking for new members for Alberta Agricultural Marketing Council

The Alberta government is looking for three people to fill upcoming vacancies on the Alberta Agricultural Products Marketing Council.

A job posting on the government’s website says the council usually meets six times a year in Edmonton or Red Deer.

The posting is asking for people with experience in agriculture, governance and business.

The council acts as an oversight body for 19 marketing boards and commissions.

It is set up to review marketing plans submitted by the boards, supervise their operations and give advice to the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation.
