Agricultural societies around Alberta are being saluted this weekend.
Saturday, September 21 will mark Alberta Agricultural Societies Day.
There are 292 of these groups across the province that organize a bunch of events such as fairs and rodeos and look after things like community halls and rinks. They look after more than 700 facilities in total.
Organizers say a day like this brings about awareness of what societies do and shows appreciation all their hard work.
