City of Grande Prairie conducting sidewalk levelling project

The City of Grande Prairie has begun a sidewalk levelling project.

Over the next few days, crews will be grinding down raised sections of sidewalks where height differences pose tripping hazards.

The process should take about 10-15 minutes per location, minimizing disruptions to pedestrians and leaving vehicle traffic unaffected.

Grinding down uneven surfaces is a cost-effective approach to creating smoother and safer pedestrian routes compared to full concrete replacement.
