Over 19,000 visits to the Aquatera Outdoor Pool this year

Another year of splashing around has come and gone at the Aquatera Outdoor Pool in Grande Prairie’s Muskoseepi Park.

The pool is now closed until next summer, but welcomed approximately 19,348 visitors during the open season. There were also 110 community and school bookings made.

Three free community swim events were also held, including on Canada Day, and a sponsored swim by Ortho 101, where over 1,700 people took advantage of the deal.

This year also featured $2 youth nights, Friday theme swims, aquatics classes, evening swim lessons, and private facility rentals; to name a few.

The City of Grande Prairie would like to thank all swimmers for supporting the outdoor pool this season and look forward to re-opening the Eastlink Centre’s aquatics area on Saturday following it’s annual maintenance shutdown.
