Fairview Emergency Department finds temporary coverage

The Fairview Health Complex Emergency Department will have its third closure this week shortened.

It was earlier announced that the ED would be without an onsite physician from 7 a.m. on Wednesday, September 25 to 7 am on Saturday, September 28.

However, AHS has now found temporary coverage with the ED returning to normal operations on Friday, September 27, at 7 a.m.

Until then, nursing staff will remain in the ED to provide urgent triage and assessments while EMS will be rerouting calls to nearby facilities.
