Professional Bull Rider Cody Coverchuk wins Peace Country Invitational at Bonnets Energy Centre

The Professional Bull Riders Canada Cup Series at Bonnetts Energy Centre in Grande Prairie wrapped up Saturday with two-time champion Cody Coverchuk of Meadow Lake Saskatchewan going for a perfect 3-for-3 to win the Peace Country Invitational, and reaching the top spot in the national rankings.

Friday was Coverchuck’s triumphant return after being sidelined for two months due to injury.

Should he remain in the standings he would be tied with Aaron Roy of Yellow Grass Saskatchewan for the only other three-time winner.

Former No. 1 Nick Tetz of Calagry, Alberta finished fifth at the PBR Peace Country Invitational, while Jordan Hansen of Okotoks, Alberta finished second in the main event.
