PRSD Board disqualifies Ward 4 Trustee

The Peace River School Board of Trustees have disqualified Ward 4 trustee Moise Dion.

Effective as of September 26, Dion has been disqualified from remaining as a trustee and the board seat for Ward 4 will be left vacant for the time being.

The disqualification follows sanctions placed on Dion in December 2023 regarding a violation of the Trustee Code of Conduct and inappropriate comments directed at an employee.

Dion was required to undertake remedial actions, but did not comply, prompting a refused request for a resignation and the eventual disqualification.

While the Ward 4 seat remains vacant, all residents are encouraged to speak with any member of the board and Trustees Lori Leitch and Crystal Owens will attend school functions in the Ward.
