Grande Prairie adds three doctors

Grande Prairie added three new doctors in the third quarter of this year, according to a new report from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

The report says Grande Prairie had 165 practicing physicians at of the end of September, an increase of 16 from the same time in 2023.

Alberta added 370 doctors in the third quarter and added 518 doctors in a year.

The entire North Zone had 588 doctors as of the end of September, 417 specialists, and 171 non-specialists.

As of the end of September last year, the North Zone had a total 578 doctors, 385 specialists and 193 non-specialists.
