Two more Piranhas swimmers commit to American universities
Local Grande Prairie Piranhas Swim Team member Oliver Dawson has made his verbal commitment to continue his swimming career outside of Canada.
Dawson made a statement on Instagram saying he will attend the University of Indiana for academic studies along with wearing cream and crimson in the pool for the Hoosiers.
The 16-year-old thanked his father for being his coach from the start of his journey in his online statement as well.
Dawson was recently selected to be on the national senior swim team for the World Aquatics Swimming Championships this December in Hungary. He also competed down in Australia in August at the Junior Pan Pacific Swimming Championship, bringing home two silvers and one bronze for relays and breaststroke performances.
