People in BC voting in a provincial election Saturday

Saturday, October 19 is provincial election day in British Columbia.

There are three candidates running in Peace River South. Incumbent MLA Mike Bernier is up against New Democrat Marshall Bigsby and Conservative Larry Neufeld.

Bernier had been with BC United, but the party suspended its campaign in August. The list of candidates posted on the Elections BC website shows a blank space under party affiliation beside Bernier’s name.

In Peace River North, incumbent Dan Davies is running as an Independent after being with BC United.

Jordan Kealy of the Conservatives and Ian McMahon of the NDP are the other two candidates.
