4.5 magnitude earthquake reported near Grande Prairie

Earthquake’s Canada says an earthquake happened 39 km south of Grande Prairie at 3:20 p.m. today. (Thursday, October 24)

It was reported as a 4.5 magnitude quake with a depth of 5 km.

According to Earthquake’s Canada, it was lightly felt in McBride, BC, however, reports to the EverythingGP Newsroom indicate residents felt the quake in the Grande Prairie area as far north as Clairmont.

At this time there have been no reports of damage caused by the earthquake.
