Grande Prairie ANAVETS to host a parade and ceremony for Remembrance Day

On November 11, the Grande Prairie Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Canada Association will host a parade.

Starting at 10:45 a.m. the parade will make it’s way from Trinity Lutheran Church on 104 Avenue, down 100 Street to the Cenotaph in Jubilee Park, where a ceremony will take place.

Following the ceremony, the parade will march back down 100 Street to 104 Ave and then will be dismissed from there.

Currently, the Poppy Campaign is already underway, as the County ReeveBob Marshall and Mayor Jackie Clayton was presented the first poppies from the region on Friday, October 25.
