Oct 28, 2024 | 12:44 PM

The Grande Prairie Storm continue to sit atop of the North Division after picking up back-to-back wins over the Drumheller Dragons this weekend.

The first of two games took place on Friday, October 28; It was all GP, as they won 7-2 in a complete team effort, having each goal come off a different player’s stick.

Tempers flared in the second half of the game, and fans were treated to multiple fights, including a centre-ice goalie bout in the third, which quickly started trending on social media after the game.

The next night, (Saturday, October 27) competition was tighter and so was both team’s discipline as only a handful of penalties were called.

After three periods of play, it was tied at three-all, until Storm-forward Alec Hall scored his fifth of the year to be the hero in overtime.

The Storm next are in action on Friday, November 1, at Bonnett’s when they face off with Olds.
