Multiple fatalities confirmed following Highway 43 collision

Reports to the EverythingGP newsroom indicate Highway 43 is now open following a serious vehicle collision this morning that resulted in three fatalities.

Beaverlodge RCMP say the accident involved three vehicles, and that they got the report about the collision at 5:17 a.m.

The people who died included a 21-year-old male and 48-year-old-female from one vehicle and a 44-year-old-male from another. The driver of the third vehicle received no apparent injuries.

Traffic is still being diverted away from the site as the investigation continues.
