High Level man in custody for drugs and firearms charges following assault

An assault investigation in High Level has resulted in firearms and drug charges from High Level RCMP.

On November 8, Mounties responded to a complaint of a possible assault just after 9:00 p.m. outside a residential address, finding one male suspect that had sustained a gunshot wound.

The injured man was taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, while the other male party was arrested.

Further investigation resulted in the seizure of additional firearms, illegal drugs, and equipment for the purpose of forging credit cards.

23-year-old High level resident, Dylan Bradley Paul, is facing 14 charges:

  • Discharge Firearm with Intent;
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x2;
  • Forgery/Misuse of Credit Card;
  • Possess Instruments for Forging Credit Cards;
  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon when Knowing Possession is Unauthorized;
  • Possession of a Firearm when Knowing Possession is Unauthorized;
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm;
  • Weapons Possession Contrary to Order x4;
  • Possession of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose;
  • Possession of a Firearm with a Tampered Serial Number;

Paul was brought before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody until his next court appearance on November 18 in High Level.
