City of Grande Prairie hosting skate event to mark National Addictions Awareness Week

The City of Grande Prairie is holding a free public skate event later this month as part of National Addictions Awareness Week.

The skate is being done to reflect this year’s NAAW theme: Forging Connections and will feature guest appearances from members of the Grande Prairie Storm as well as the Grande Prairie Police Service and Grande Prairie Fire Department.

A limited quantity of free helmets and skate rentals will be available during the event.

The skate is happening at the Design Works Centre’s Weyerhauser North Arena November 27.
