November 2024 snow total surpasses total for last two Novembers combined

Environment Canada’s Daily Data report says Grande Prairie’s snowfall total for November has surpassed the combined total for the last two November’s by a few millimetres.

There were 6.6 centimetres of snow on Tuesday, November 19, bringing the total for November to 23.6 centimetres; with the snow that came down on Wednesday, November 20 not yet included in that total.

There were 2.5 centimetres for the entire month of November last year and 20.8 in 2022, or a total of 23.3 centimetres.

The forecast is calling for a slight chance of flurries for Thursday, with more snow predicted for Friday and Saturday.
