Snowfall Warning

Up to 20 cm of snow expected in Grande Prairie

Nov 22, 2024 | 6:35 AM

Environment Canada says nearly half of the province is in for a big dump of snow this weekend.

Grande Prairie and the surrounding area is included in a snowfall warning spanning southeast from Dawson Creek/Chetwynd B.C. across Alberta.

The weather office says snowfall will begin Friday afternoon and get more intense in the evening and throughout until Saturday morning.

Travelling could become more difficult over some locations and visibility could be suddenly reduced due to the heavy snow.

Amounts of 10-20 cm are expected to fall in this wintry storm. Snowfall is expected to ease Saturday afternoon.
