Fort St. John RCMP investigating fatal collision on Highway 97

Fort St. John RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Highway 97 on Monday, November 25.

At around 5:35 p.m. Mounties responded to a report of a two-vehicle head-on collision by Shepherds Inn.

One driver was declared dead t the scene while the BC Ambulance Service transported the other driver to hospital with injuries.

The highway was shut down for approximately seven hours while the North District RCMP Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit investigated.

Alcohol and road conditions are not believed to be factors in the crash.
