Area covered by snowfall warnings expands

More areas of the Peace are now included in the snowfall warnings.

The warnings now take in the MD of Spirit River, including Spirit River and Rycroft; Saddle Hills County near Woking, Bay Tree, Silver Valley and Moonshine Lake; Birch Hills County near Eaglesham and Wanham; and and the MD of Smoky River including Falher, McLennan and Guy.

Warnings remain in place for the Grande Prairie-Beaverlodge-Valleyview forecast area, the Whitecourt and Fox Creek areas and the south part of the BC Peace.

Environment Canada is predicting 20 to 30 cm of snow by Monday. Some places could see 50 cm.
