Storm players invited to Hockey Canada selection camp

Three Storm players have been invited to a selection camp for a Hockey Canada event.

Defenceman Cash Ganske and Matthew Gillard, along with forward Max Algajer will try out for Team West that will play at the 2024 World Junior A Challenge.

Whitecourt defenceman Xavier Lacoste has also earned an invitation. Head coach Shawn Martin from the Wolverines will be an assistant coach.

A total of 60 players have been invited to try out for the Canada West and Canada East squads.

The camp will start Tuesday, Dec. 3, in Calgary with rosters for both Canada West and Canada East announced on Thursday, Dec. 5.

The tournament will run from Dec, 9 to 15 in Camrose.

Canada West will play defending gold medalist Sweden in its first game.
