Community Showcase to mark International Day of Persons With Disabilities in Grande Prairie

Tuesday, December 3 marks the International Day of Persons With Disabilities and the Grande Prairie planning committee will be marking the occasion.

A Community Showcase will take place at Teresa Sargent Hall from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This event is being called “an opportunity to showcase inclusive community organizations as well as recognize and celebrate disabled members of our community.”

The Inclusive Community Award will be presented at 11 a.m.

There will also be a proclamation, exhibits and art activities at the art gallery and all-ages programs at the library.
