Fairview Health Complex emergency department without a physician

The Fairview Health Complex Emergency Department will be without an onsite physician for 24 hours starting at 7 a.m. this morning. (Monday, December 2).
During the closures, nursing staff will remain on-site to perform urgent triage, assessments, and referrals to neighbouring facilities, while EMS will reroute 911 callers.
A doctor is expected to be back in the ED at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, or even earlier if coverage is found by AHS.
This is the second emergency department closure at the Fairview Health Complex in a week.
