Freezing rain warning affecting PWPSD school bus operations

The Peace Wapiti Public School Division is asking some parents or guardians to pick up their children from school with the freezing rain warning in effect.

According to PWPSD, some areas inside their division are experiencing “extremely poor road conditions.”

Parents or guardians of children residing in these areas will receive a call from the school to pick up their child.

In the same release, PWPSD says their transportation department will try and run busses this afternoon, however, “it will be difficult.”
